Arm width

Across the arm: the width of headband it supports. 50.8 mm = 2 in

Arm reach

Straight part of the arm out from the mount, before the tip turns up. Over-ear cups are about 100 mm front to back, so give headphones 80 mm or more: the band then sits on the saddle while the cups rest against the wall

Saddle crown

How much higher the middle of the saddle is than its edges, so a curved headband touches all the way across. About 5 mm suits a 2 in saddle under a typical over-ear band; use less on a narrow arm
